Benefits for Runners

As a keen runner, completing the London Marathon in 2017, Pilates was the perfect way to ensure I kept injury free and strong form. As a result I have tailored exercises specific to the running community.

Pilates can correct muscle imbalances resulting from high impact training by:

  • aligning the joints

  • strengthening and stretching the muscles to prevent pain and injury, particularly in the injury prone areas such as the hips, knees, hamstrings, IT band and Achilles tendon

  • building core strength, creating efficient movement and

  • improving posture
